Tom’s Experience hiking the Canyon Overlook Trail:
The Canyon Overlook trail is a short and easy hike that leads to a great lookout in the middle of Zion National Park.
The trail is only 1 mile round trip and is mostly level after the initial climb up off of the road.
The trail is very well maintained with a few fences to keep people safe.
The end is really cool with a great view of most of Zion Canyon and fun rock formations.
Dogs are not allowed on this trail.
Trail Info: As soon as you exit the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel the trailhead is to your right. It is small and has an outhouse. There is additional parking further up the road. The trail starts across the street from the parking lot next to the ranger station.
