Tom’s experience cliff jumping into the Venus Pool:
You must park along the road and then head over the fence and through the grass field. The trail will lead down to the pool. This is a great spot to swim or cliff jump.
The pool is very deep and is filled by the ocean during high tide but can become separated from the ocean during low tide.
This has become quite the popular spot but Hawaiian lore says that in ancient times only royalty were allowed to visit this beautiful spot.
Trail Info: The parking for the Venus Pool is just along the road on the Hana Highway at mile marker 48.

Tom’s experience hiking to Nemo Falls:
Nemo Falls is a less visited waterfall on the Road to Hana. I really enjoyed this waterfall but it is a little difficult to get though.
It is about 1 mile round trip but the trail is very slick in multiple parts. You start off along a paved path that heads uphill pretty steeply.
Eventually the trail levels out and you come to a narrow footbridge with a handrail over a waterfall.
Cross the footbridge and then take an immediate right and scramble across some rocks up stream towards the waterfall.
The rocks can be very slick and you must crawl under and through a few trees. This will lead to the waterfall and a small pool.
The trail is on EMI property and there is a danger of flash floods.
Trail Info: The trailhead to Nemo Falls begins at mile marker #23.6 along the Hana Highway on Maui. There is a small parking area that will fit maybe two cars and the trail starts running parallel to the Hana Highway up to a gate.
